The 18-inch Metal Rangoli is a reusable rangoli in hammered gold-toned metal — a lotus form divided into deep petal-shaped wells around a hammered central medallion.
Each petal is a separate shallow compartment, and that is what makes it work: fill them with rose petals, jasmine, marigold, coloured rice, or water and floating tealights, and change the combination for every festival. The hammered surface catches candlelight from every angle. Laid out and filled, it reads as a rangoli that took an hour to draw.
